Join your fellow supporters and volunteers for our ELECTION NIGHT PARTY, November 4th, beginning at 7:30 pm. at the Dublin Square Irish Pub at 327 Abbot Rd. Invite your friends! Here's a bit more information about it:
We have reserved a private banquet room but have made the restaurant aware that we will be TAKING OVER! All tvs will be tuned to the election. You may order food and drinks as you like on your own tab.
While admission is free, please consider bring a food or monetary donation for the Mid-Michigan Food Bank. As Michiganders, we know first hand how hard the economy has hit us and the area food banks are struggling to get enough supplies.
THANKS AGAIN for all your GREAT WORK!
TO VICTORY!

Help GET OUT THE VOTE!
Dear Obama Volunteers,
Can you believe we have come this far? Only two and a half more days in the campaign! All of you have been so GREAT! If some of you have not yet volunteered to help out with the last days of the campaign, or aren't sure of your schedules (because of that pesky thing called 'work'), but want to help, here is what you can do:
Go to campaign headquarters at 610 Abbot fifteen minutes before a shift begins. The shifts are as follows:
Sunday, TODAY, 4 pm!
Monday, November 3rd: Shifts begin at 9 am, noon, and 4 pm.
Tuesday, November 4th: Shifts begin at 9 am, noon, and 4 pm.
At the entry desk, say you want to volunteer but aren't signed up.
Shifts are 4 hours long. Some will involve going in a car to another area, such as Lansing. Voluntary of course. But if you go to these places and can't do the full four hours, bring your own car so you can leave early. Tell the leader you have to leave early if you can.
Dress appropriately! Bring an energy bar! Bring your cellphone! Bring your enthusiasm! This will happen rain or shine.
If you aren't able to hit the streets, stop by and ask if there's anything you can help with. Maybe there will be tasks and maybe not. There will be lots of last minute improvisation.
THANKS, AS ALWAYS, FOR YOUR WONDERFUL HELP! It is really us 'small folk' who will make the difference in this campaign.
GO OBAMA!!!!

Billboards for Barack: We did it!!!
Dear Obama Supporters,
As you know, Michigan is a swing-state and many are nervous that Michigan may narrowly go to the McCain ticket. Because of this concern (and to show our support for Obama) we have decided to do something BIG and BOLD.
So rather than just slapping a bumper sticker on the car or plunking a yard sign in the ground, we decided to rent several BILLBOARDS in our area! Our campaign was called "Billboards for Barack".
The billboards are up so check them out at the following locations: 1) near Frandor at Saginaw and Coolidge; 2) I-96 between Okemos and Williamston and faces west; 3) along MLK in Lansing; 4) Cedar St. near Roma Bakery.
Thank you for your support and let's get Barack Obama elected President!!!
Sincerely,
Michigan Families for Obama
